v0.1.30 — Sessions your way
Choose how sessions read on every device. Personalize settings now include Session Style — pick Focused or Chat independently for desktop and mobile. Focused keeps your latest prompt pinned at the top while agent activity gathers below. Chat stacks every turn into one continuous scrolling transcript with collapsed work summaries, so long builds feel more like a conversation and less like a dashboard.
Model, effort, speed, and usage — one composer control. The grouped model picker replaces scattered composer buttons with a single trigger that reads as plain text and shows a live usage ring. Open it to change model, effort, or fast mode, or fly out into the full adapter list with per-provider usage. The same control powers chat and terminal composers, so picking the right model stays consistent everywhere you send a prompt.
Long sessions load faster and expand on demand. Historical turn work collapses into lightweight stubs when a session opens. Expand a turn to hydrate the full tool activity, edits, and commands — the feed stays responsive on replay without hiding what happened when you need the detail.
A calmer, more consistent workspace. Chat card styling now carries through backlog boards, task panels, inbox rows, and side chats. Planning tool calls group in the timeline alongside other semantic activity. Inset rounded selection states, refined usage rings, and a primitive type-scale keep typography and chrome aligned across the shell.
Hide the sidebar when you need the canvas. A whole-sidebar hide toggle tucks navigation away while nav history keeps back and forward across views. Pin the sidebar open, hide it when you want a full-width canvas, then hover the left edge to peek it back in without losing your place.
On mobile, workspace tabs and native web sheets make switching between chat, changes, and side panels feel closer to the platform — with Session Style tuned separately for compact screens.
Agents, not adapters. The plugins UI now speaks in terms of agents, with clearer setup and a one-click update toast when a newer CLI is available.
Also in this release:
- Stronger crash reports — desktop crashes capture symbolicated stacks, build metadata, and recent process output to speed up diagnosis.
- Satellite workspace foundations — early plumbing for accessing Recursive workspaces across machines.
- Settings that respect scope — workspace settings caches isolate per project while enabled model lists stay global.
- More reliable agent turns — turn finalizers wait for the adapter's turn boundary so partial streams don't close early.
- Parent process watchdog — orphaned local servers are detected and cleaned up more reliably.
- Plugin marketplace deep links — open a specific Agents, Themes, or other category directly from shell routing instead of hunting through the full catalog.
- Plugin file preview — inspect plugin files in a read-only viewer before installing or editing.
- Provider usage cache — usage metrics persist locally and refresh when stale, so the composer ring and breakdown stay accurate without hammering provider APIs.
- Smarter diff stats — binary and media files are classified correctly in git change summaries instead of skewing line counts.
- Mobile terminal history — reopen recent terminal output from the composer + menu, docked above the input on compact screens.
- Two-phase sidebar dock — sidebar show and hide animates in two phases with a stable stage layout, so the workspace doesn't jump while navigation tucks away.
